SANDBAG HAIKU

Video running during cellar installation, using phrases collected in commemoration of the Tenth Anniversary of the Lewes Floods, typed on to cards and floated in water. As the light fades to darkness, the haiku stencilled on to sandbags beneath become visible. The commemoration coincided with the terrible flooding in Japan and inspired the haiku written by the artist..
