Paintings

I paint oblique narratives of inner lives: resilient, strange, and emotionally charged. Working from memory, history, and along the shifting line between vulnerability and power, my mainly female figures occupy dreamlike territories where symbolism and humour intertwine. Motifs of balance and ascent combine with a sense of emergence, while references to portraiture and protective head gear hint at both containment and defiance.
